Unfamiliar people with unfamiliar faces

Today I had a few errands to run and I wanted to get some Uni work done so I went on a mini adventure. Needing something to keep my mind off misery for a while I went to one of the most beautiful places (in my opinion) in Norwich.

The Cathedral.

Wherever you are in the city the Cathedral spire, being the second tallest in the country, remains a focal point of the skyline. Almost haunting in it's form and detail it reminds me some what of the silly idea of what Transylvania castles where vampires live would look like that I would create in my mind as a child. Some times it almost feels like walking towards Hogwarts too ;).
Here you see the cathedral through, what was once, a kissing gate. This is the route I walk to get to University and the city center on many occasions. It offers a certain serenity, drawing interest from every little building and hidden places in the Cathedral close.
These sweet houses (seen below) have gorgeous stone walls filled with character and are protected by graded listings, I hear they're not the easiest house to buy and there are even waiting lists to purchase such accomodation.

Stunning Architecture
Hiding between the trees.

This is so cute with the traditional Royal Mail postbox and the Victorian style street light. It looks almost like a Christmas card.

A lovely tour guide man showed me around the Cathedral, telling me about things that usually wouldn't be noticed during a normal visit. Norwich Cathedral has so much history behind it and such beautiful paintings and stained glass windows which are really so stunning and exquisite considering how old they are. I did pop into the gift shop and picked up a guide so I could research events and history of each of the areas in the Cathedral.

Here we have my tea time snack, not the 1p coin, the sushi. M&S have an awesome range of little sushi packs. It tastes great, though not much like actual Japanese sushi but yummy fish and rice can't be argued with. The penny is just where I cleared my purse of coppers.
Here is a wee drawing/illustration I created. I was going to make a short story book about  the cat that lives by the cathedral. It is in an odd perspective which is why the cat looks big and the cathedral far away as I wanted to steer clear of line drawings for the ground. I know it is far from perfect but the naive lines kind of lend them self to the child like story.
Finally a montage of some quick sketchy ideas and research drawings for my project at Uni.
